High Plains
Surgery Center
A new construction research and outreach facility in Canyon, Texas supporting agriculture, life sciences, natural resources, and regional extension programming across the High Plains.
The Texas A&M AgriLife High Plains Research and Extension Center is a new one-story facility in Canyon designed to support research, education, and public outreach for the greater Texas High Plains. Located at 3211 Russell Long Blvd. on the West Texas A&M University campus, the center brings together research laboratories, administrative offices, meeting space, and outreach-focused areas in a modern regional hub. A-1 Electric provided the electrical work needed to support a reliable, code-compliant environment for daily operations, public engagement, and long-term institutional use.
A-1 Electric crews coordinated with Western Builders and the project team to help deliver a clean, dependable electrical installation for a modern research and extension facility. From rough-in through finish-out, the work supported the functional needs of offices, laboratories, meeting areas, and public-facing spaces while maintaining schedule and construction quality expectations.
